Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent assessment he has made of the role played by Iran in Hamas' rearmament.

We remain deeply concerned by reports of Hamas' attempts to rearm. Any supply of arms to Hamas by Iran would contravene the embargo on Iranian arms exports established by UN Security Council Resolution 1747 and undermine prospects for peace and stability in the Middle East.
