Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate he has made of the number of people who have been self-employed for more than 12 months and in receipt of universal credit who are exempt from the minimum income floor.

The requested information is currently not available. It is too early to say, as the number of self-employed claimants on UC remains low. We intend to carry out research and evaluation on self-employment in UC going forward, as the number of self-employed claimants increases.
