Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what discussions he has had with the Financial Conduct Authority on the (a) regulatory approach and (b) registration criteria for co-operatives in the last 12 months.

The Financial Conduct Authority is the registrar for co-operatives. It only has regulatory functions over co-operatives which are also authorised to carry out financial service activities.
