Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to the Answer of 12 February 2015 to Question 223818, what progress his Department has made in discussions with the Royal British Legion on how a disregard may be applied for the War Pension scheme under social care charging rules in future.

Further to my reply of 12 February 2015 to Question 223818, Departmental officials are continuing to engage with the Royal British Legion to understand the potential scale of additional costs in this area. A further meeting is due in early March.
