Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of differences in genetic susceptibility to obesity.

Whilst no direct assessment has been made of the implications for public health policy in relation to differences in genetic susceptibility to obesity, health policy is however responsive to and recognises where the evidence supports specific action in relation to particular population subgroups.
