Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the appropriateness of the current system for licensing sellers of mobility scooters.

There has been no assessment of the appropriateness of the current system for licensing sellers of mobility scooters. Many of the dealers and suppliers who sell mobility scooters, are members of the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) and, as such have to follow the BHTA Code of Practice.
