Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many sexual harm prevention orders and sexual offences prevention orders were issued in each of the last five years; and how many such orders were made after a request from a Chief of Police under section 104(5) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Sexual harm prevention orders were introduced by the Anti-Social Behaviour, Policing and Crime Act 2014, and will come into force very shortly.

The Home Office does not collate figures on the number of sexual offences prevention orders imposed by the courts. However, figures for the period from
2009 to 2014 are contained in the annual Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements report, published by the Ministry of Justice on the Gov.uk website. The latest report covering the period from April 2013 to March 2014 is available at:
