To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, pursuant to the Answer of 23 February 2015 to Question 223250, what steps his Department is taking to increase the number of households installing solar panels.

The Feed in Tariff (FITs) scheme has been a great success since its launch in April 2010, with more than 640,000 installations, representing over 2.8GW of solar PV capacity registered by the end of January 2015.
Of those, more than 614,000 installations, totalling nearly 1.8GW are in the smallest, domestic scale.
