Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent assessment his Department has made of relations between India and Pakistan; and if he will make a statement.

The UK is deeply concerned about rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
We welcome the fact that both countries have stated publicly they wish to de-escalate tensions. We are working hard with them and our international partners to encourage this and to ensure regional stability.
