Data on Childhood obesity at a sub-national level for England are collected through the National Childhood Measurement Programme for two school year groups Reception (4-5 year olds) and Year 6 (10-11 year olds).

The attached table presents the most recent ward level data that are available. Ward-level data are not published by individual year because of the small numbers at ward level and potential disclosure of sensitive information. The figures in the table are summed over three year periods.

Some small numbers still remain and these figures have been suppressed, shown by an ā€˜s’ in the attached table.

Information for the overweight category was not calculated at ward level for the three year periods 2008/09-2010/11 and 2009/10-2011/12. Information for these periods is for the obese weight category only.
