To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what proportion of suppliers to his Department, its agencies and non-departmental public bodies paid subcontractors within 30 days in the last period for which figures are available.

The publication of revised Public Contracts Regulations 2015 on 25 Feb has resulted in new legislation, which means that;

• everyone in the supply chain must comply with 30 day payment terms, including suppliers and sub-contractors;

• public bodies must publish an annual late payment report, making their accountability more transparent.
