To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, what assessment he has made of the effect of removing student number controls at higher education institutions on further education colleges.
This question was answered on 13th March 2015
We have removed controls on the number of students who can attend higher education courses at publicly-funded higher education institutions and further education colleges in 2015/16. This will allow anyone with the ambition and ability to go on to higher education. The number of new entrants will depend on the decisions of applicants and institutions.
