Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what estimate she has made of the number of police officers in Warrington who (a) will be eligible for the new police pension scheme and (b) have received a statement of their likely benefits under that scheme.
This question was answered on 9th March 2015
All police officers are entitled to become a member of the 2015 police pension
scheme if they do not qualify to remain in the existing pension schemes under
transitional protection arrangements.
No such estimate has been made. The administration of the police pension
schemes is a local matter for chief constables and police forces.
