To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, if she will make an estimate of what expenditure has already been incurred on the Digital ID programme prior to its cancellation.

The programme incurred costs associated with policy development, consultation, public engagement, programme management and communications activity. The validated figures will be reported through the usual departmental processes in due course.
