Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment she has made of the take-up rate for Bereavement Support Payment in each of the last five years.
This question was answered on 4th March 2019
Bereavement Support Payment (BSP) was introduced in April 2017, to replace Widowed Parent’s Allowance, Bereavement Allowance and Bereavement Payments. To date no assessment of the take up rate of BSP has been made.
