Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, how many planning applications for fast food restaurants have been (a) approved and (b) rejected in residential areas in each local authority area in the last 12 months for which figures are available.

The requested information is not held by the Department.

Although the Department collects information from local planning authorities on the numbers of planning applications decided each quarter, the numbers of applications relating to fast food restaurants are not separately identified.
