Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what estimate he has made of the number of new homes for social rent that it will be financially viable for housing associations to build using revenue accrued from the planned extension of the Right to Buy to housing association tenants.
This question was answered on 5th June 2015
Details will be set out in the impact assessment when the Housing Bill is published.
It has been made clear that every additional home sold under the extended Right to Buy would be replaced with a new affordable home.
