Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to the contribution of the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health of 31 October 2012, Official Report, column 93WH, what his Department's definition of viability is for the gestational time limit for abortion.

In 1990, Parliament decided that the legal time limit for most abortions should be 24 weeks.
