Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what proportion of nurses registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council were from overseas in each of the last five years.
The table below sets out the total number of nurses and midwives registering to practice in the United Kingdom in each year since 2009 and the proportion from the UK, European Economic Area and overseas.
