Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to the progress update to recommendation 97 in the supporting annex to his Department's report, Culture change in the NHS, published in February 2015, which responsibilities of NHS England his Department is considering transferring to a single national body.

The Government has agreed to consider with relevant organisations the options for transferring NHS England’s responsibilities for safety to a single national body, and this work is now underway.
