Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many training posts for nurses were commissioned in England in each year from 1989-90 to 1997-98.

The following table provides information on the number of pre-registration nurse training places that were commissioned for the years 1996-97 and 1997-98. The Department does not hold data prior to this date.
