Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many finished consultant episodes with a primary or secondary diagnosis of (a) age-related macular degeneration, (b) glaucoma, (c) diabetic retinopathy and (d) cataracts there were in the NHS in England in each of the last five years.

The following table provided by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) shows the number of finished consultant episodes with a primary or secondary diagnosis of (a) age-related macular degeneration, (b) glaucoma, (c) diabetic retinopathy and (d) cataracts in the National Health Service in England between 2009/10 and 2013/14.
