Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if he will guarantee that President Bolsonaro of Brazil will not be accorded the honour of a state visit to the UK during his term in office because of his record of hate speech against members of the LGBT community.

There are currently no plans for a State Visit by President Bolsonaro. The UK is a strong champion of LGBT rights and our view on LGBT phobia is clear. We continue to work closely with Brazil, making clear where we disagree.
