Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if she will make an estimate of the number of people who will move to universal credit from legacy benefits each month from March 2019 to July 2020 apart from people moved as part of the managed migration pilot.

The Department forecasts flows rather than the number on the caseload at any given point in time, and therefore cannot be split into monthly forecasts.

We estimate that 2.6 million households will move to Universal Credit from legacy benefits due to a change in circumstance.
