Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, whether it is his target to create three million new high-quality apprenticeships by 2020.

In 2015 we set an ambitious goal of 3 million apprenticeships by 2020. While this remains our ambition, we will not sacrifice quality to achieve this goal.

It is important that all apprenticeships are of the highest quality and that they deliver the skills valued by employers to increase productivity and help stimulate growth.
