Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, with reference to the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority Major Projects Annual Report 2025 to 2026, Tables, PFI Prison Expiry and Transfer Tranche 2, what is the breakdown of the £1.13 billion saved in the whole life cost.

These cost differences are not a result of actual reduction in spend, scope change or savings. This reduction in costs is the result of a change in reporting approach by NISTA.
