Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment she has made of the potential impact of pricing a 24-hour and a 14-day recording identically under HRG code EY51Z on the level of adoption of extended ambulatory electrocardiogram monitoring.

No such assessment has been made, but the NHS Payment Scheme and associated HRG classifications are kept under regular review to ensure that they support the delivery of effective and efficient patient care.
