One application for a Public Service Obligation from Newquay to London Heathrow was received. This is the route which is now operating. As set out in the Department’s guidance on protecting air routes to London, a Local Authority or Devolved Administration is required to consider bids to an airport with a rail link of less than 60 minutes to London Travel Zone 1, which includes Heathrow Airport.
