Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential effect of changes in the ownership of Arriva for the group’s operations in the UK (a) rail and (b) bus industries.

(a) Change of ownership will be considered in the normal way, as set at in the change of control policy statement https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rail-franchise-change-of-control-policy-statement’

(b) The Department has made no assessment of this.
