Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what steps he is taking in relation to the sharing of powers between the police and councils relating to obstruction caused by pavement and grass verge parking.

The Department for Transport has recently finished gathering evidence on the problems caused by pavement parking and the effectiveness of current powers. We are considering the findings of this work and will announce any further actions over the coming months.
