To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, pursuant to the Answer of 14 March 2019 to Question 230930, whether his Department has drafted the primary legislation required to ban the use of hand-held remote controlled e-collar devices for dogs and cats.

The Government has begun drafting the necessary secondary legislation needed to ban the use of hand-held remote controlled e-collars for dogs and cats in England and which will help maintain the country’s high standards of animal welfare.
