The Local Plan remains at examination and a public consultation is currently underway. The Government has set a deadline for all local planning authorities to have up-to-date local plans by the end of 2023. The Secretary of State will not hesitate to use the full range of powers Parliament has given him in order to ensure plan-making is maintained. This will help deliver the certainty that local communities and businesses deserve.
