No assessment has been made of levels of public awareness of the risk of wildfires posed by litter, including discarded glass bottles. Government departments and agencies are working together on communications to raise public awareness of the fire risks associated with discarded glass bottles and disposable barbecues. This includes social media content, using influencer networks to extend online reach, and securing broadcast interviews for Government spokespeople to explain wildfire risks and what the public can do.
