To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what recent estimate his Department has made of the number of Access to Work claimants who have experienced a reduction in their award value at renewal in the last 12 months.

The information requested is not available. Access to Work awards are assessed on the basis of an individual's current circumstances and support needs. Where an award value is lower at renewal than in a previous award period, this will reflect a reassessment of the customer's needs and the support required at that time. We aim to improve the consistency and fairness of award outcomes.
