To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what percentage of Child Maintenance Service cases are currently handled using assistance from artificial intelligence.

All CMS cases are handled by trained caseworkers who remain accountable for decisions affecting customers. AI tools can be used to help colleagues improve productivity and customer outcomes but do not replace human decision-making.

The Department does not hold data on the percentage of Child Maintenance Service (CMS) cases handled with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI).
