As part of our commitment to improving the application process for customers, feedback is sought via a voluntary online survey. We do not collect feedback specifically on applicants’ understanding of the difference between Settled Status and Pre-Settled Status. We do however provide guidance on the differences between the two statuses on GOV.UK.

We have also made improvements to the application process to make it clear to applicants the scope for them to provide additional evidence of their eligibility for settled status before they accept a grant of pre-settled status.
