Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to her Department's joint press release entitled Government invests in young people with more opportunities close to home, published on 28 July 2026, what recent discussions her Department has had with education providers receiving funding on their capacity to deliver the additional places.

The department has issued grant agreements to almost all the successful applicants to the £287 million Post 16 and Construction Skills Capacity Fund. We are now working with all successful recipients to ensure that they are able to deliver the additional places to the planned deadlines.
