Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will provide a breakdown of the number of cancelled operations in each NHS Trust in each month in (a) 2019, (b) 2020 and (c) 2021.

The data is not held in the format requested. Data on cancelled elective operations is published quarterly and is not collected by specialty.

Collection of this data was paused in April 2020 in order to release capacity across the NHS to support the response to the pandemic. This resumed from Quarter 3 2021/22 and was published in February 2022 at the following link:
