The Government already takes a cross-government approach to tackling irregular migration. Through the Border Security Command, law enforcement, operational and policy partners work together to disrupt organised immigration crime, strengthen border security and coordinate action across the migration system.

This is supported by the Government's Restoring Order and Control programme and the Immigration and Asylum Bill, which together deliver reforms across the asylum, returns and border security systems.

Established cross-government governance arrangements oversee performance, risks and delivery across the migration system.
