Export Credit Guarantees: Libya

Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, with reference to the UK’s international commitments to the Paris Agreement, if he will confirm that UK Export Finance will not be used to support a deal to explore for oil and gas in Libya.
This question was answered on 6th June 2019
UK Export Finance suspended cover for all new export transactions in Libya in 2015. The country currently remains off cover in line with the stance of other major export credit agencies.
