Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make it his policy to include in the requirement for a buffet card on all Intercity Express trains in the next franchise contract for the Great Western franchise.

Decisions on policy on the specification of the next Great Western franchise are informed by this consultation, which did not show strong demand for a buffet car on all Intercity Express Trains.
