Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many and what proportion of the (a) maintained schools, (b) non-maintained schools, (c) independent schools, (d) providers on the Early Years Register and (e) providers registered with an early years childminder agency which provide early years foundation stage have been assessed as (i) outstanding, (ii) good, (iii) satisfactory and (iv) inadequate.

Ofsted is the non-ministerial government department responsible for the inspection of schools and childcare providers and publishes a regular series of statistics relating to inspection on its website, which can be viewed from this link:
