Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what forecast he has made of changes in the rates of prostate cancer in this Parliament.

No such forecast has been made. The age-standardised rate per 100,000 male population of newly diagnosed cases of prostate cancer rose from 149.5 in 2000 to 173.1 in 2017. This rise is largely due to the ageing population and the increase in prostate specific antigen testing.
