Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what estimate he has made of the effect on the public purse of the UK Ship Register’s decisions to (a) expand its criteria for shipowner eligibility and (b) introduce a system of bareboat charter-out.

There is no effect on the public purse with the UK Ship Registry decision to expand its criteria for shipowner eligibility and with the introduction of a bareboat charter out.
