The Government published its White Paper “The UK’s future skills-based immigration system” on 19 December 2018, which proposed a new route for short-term workers to come to the UK for up to 12 months. This will be subject to a full review by 2025.

In the interim, we have launched a year-long programme of engagement to enable businesses and other stakeholders to shape the final details of policy and processes contained within the White Paper.
