Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, with reference to the FCDO Services Annual Report and Accounts 2025 to 2026, HC 458, 3 July 2026, how many contractors were incorrectly paying taxes following the HMRC investigation, whether any fine or penalty has been levied by HMRC, and whether the back payment of unpaid taxes are being settled by (a) FCDO Services or (b) the contractors.

Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Services is supporting His Majesty's Revenue and Custom's (HMRC) ongoing investigation into this matter. It is not possible to comment further on individual details, including any potential fine or penalty, until that investigation has concluded.
