Question to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero:

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, with reference to page 50 of the Warm Homes Plan 2026, if she will provide a breakdown of the £4,422m planned spend in the Low-income homes grants described in the Warm Homes Plan by expected spending on the following categories: i) solar PV ii) batteries iii) cost effective insulation, iv) smart controls v) heat pumps vi) other.

The amount allocated to grant funding for low-income homes referenced in the Warm Homes Plan is not set against pre-determined spending categories or technologies such as solar PV, batteries, insulation, smart controls or heat pumps. Funding is allocated through capital schemes including the Warm Homes: Local Grant and the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, which provide support for a range of measures.

Funding is allocated in waves to grant recipients including local authorities and social housing providers which are then responsible for identifying eligible homes in their area and determining the most appropriate package of improvements taking account of factors including the needs of residents, property characteristics, existing energy performance, and value for money. As a result, Government does not hold a forecast breakdown of the £4.422 billion by individual technology type.
