Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what her policy is on admitting the office of Chairperson of the African Union as a member of the G20 intergovernmental forum.
This question was answered on 5th July 2022
The membership of the G20 is ultimately a decision for the G20 as a group. The UK welcomes and values the participation of the African Union and other permanent guests at the G20 forum and will continue to support their involvement in the future.
