Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what is the median advance payment awarded to people awaiting their first payment of universal credit.
This question was answered on 1st July 2019
The median payment for new claim and benefit transfer advances was £380.

The figure is rounded to the nearest £
The median is based on those advances paid between March 18 and February 2019
