Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what is the median repayment period for advance payments awarded to people awaiting their first payment of universal credit.

The median repayment period for new claim and benefit transfer advances was 12 months.

The median is based on those advances paid between March 18 and February 2019
